Many highly talented and qualified candidates get wiped out from the process because they fail to present themselves convincingly (I've seen this happening more times than I can count...)
Success Factor #2: Your ability to master technical knowledge, including critical financial concepts such as Enterprise Value, DCF Valuation, TMV, IRR, LBO modelling, and many more.
IBD interviews can get extremely technical.
Even if you’re looking for internships, and even if you come from a non-financial background, you’re going to get grilled with technical questions.
The only way to crack these highly technical interviews is to master all the key financial concepts that you need to understand to break into IBD.
Success Factor #3: Your ability to anticipate the interview questions that you will get on the big day, including fit, technical, and brainteasing questions.
Even “finance wizards” that are extremely well prepared on the technical side can fail their interviews if they don’t know exactly what questions to expect.
